“Δίπλα στα μάτια τους έχουν ένα δεντράκι καλοσύνη, ανάμεσα στα φρύδια τους ένα γεράκι δύναμη κι ένα μουλάρι απο θυμό μες στην καρδιά τους, που δεν σηκώνει τ’ άδικο”.

Μιά ποιητική καντάτα για ένα φρικτό κολαστήριο, εκεί στη Μακρόνησο. Για τους “γερόντους” που δεν σηκώναν το άδικο. Εκεί στη Μακρόνησο αγνάντια στη θάλασσα. Για έναν μεγάλο ποιητή της Ρωμιοσύνης, που δεν υπέκυψε, δεν φοβήθηκε ποτέ τα δύσβατα μονοπάτια του δίκιου και της ανθρωπιάς.

Αυτος ήταν ο Γιάννης Ρίτσος. Ένας πρωτοπόρος ποιητής, ένας λαικός οραματιστής της αισθητικής και της τέχνης.
